Nurse for Emergency Department/Acute Care at Södertälje Hospital

Do you want to be part of a safe community and feel joy and curiosity before each shift? At the Emergency Department, you will meet patients with a wide range of symptoms and needs.

With us, every employee is important, collaboration between professional groups is close, and the desire to constantly improve both the work environment and patient safety is a high priority. Here, you will make a significant difference.

We have nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, and administrative staff. Most of the day, we work in a flow without strict lines, where patients are sorted based on how ill they are rather than which organ specialty they belong to. We work in care teams with close collaboration between nursing staff and doctors, where each employee is a vital part of the whole. The Acute Care Unit includes emergency care for adults and urgent care for children and adults. We receive 150-200 patients daily of all ages, with everything from wounds and minor fractures to sepsis alarms and cardiac arrests.

As a nurse, you have overall responsibility for assessment and triage, and you perform nursing actions, medication administration, and sampling. In the Acute Care area, you have a varied job where you switch between our different workstations: emergency department, urgent care, and reception.

We offer you a personal introduction tailored to your individual skills and needs. No day is the same. With us, you have excellent opportunities for professional development, which is supported through both internal and external training.
