Our client is looking for a web developer for a temporary position to ensure the operation, maintenance, and further development of the website and e-commerce, including technical troubleshooting and development for approximately 12 months. The role belongs to the client's Communications function and works closely with the client's E-com team. As the client's sole developer, the role requires high independence and a good ability to plan, prioritize, and drive technical initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and further development of the client's website and e-commerce.

-Implementation of development work in WordPress/WooCommerce (frontend and simple backend).

-Updating, optimizing, and quality assurance of plugins and integrations.

-Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving, including simpler hosting/server-related issues.

-Participate in and sometimes drive the technical aspects of new and ongoing web and e-commerce projects for the client.

-Independently plan and prioritize tasks based on projects, deadlines, and business needs.

-Version control in Git/GitHub.

-Communicate technical solutions and status clearly and pedagogically to the client's colleagues.

-Contribute ideas and improvements in digital development and automation/AI where relevant.

Level of Responsibility

-Responsible for independently analyzing, planning, and implementing technical solutions for the client.

-Responsible for own deadlines and ensuring stable operation of the client's web and e-commerce.

-The role is the client's only development resource in the organization, which means acting as an expert in technical matters.

Workflow & Collaboration

-Close collaboration with the client's E-com Manager regarding priorities and e-commerce development.

-Collaboration with the client's Communications team regarding technical needs, solutions, and ensuring a scalable and reusable technical structure.

-Support the client's colleagues working in WordPress admin and frontend with technical understanding and troubleshooting.

-Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute technical expertise.

Technical Environment

-CMS & E-commerce: WordPress, WooCommerce

-Languages: PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS

-Version control: Git/GitHub

-Hosting: simpler server/operation troubleshooting as needed

-Other: use of AI tools in a safe and structured manner

Experience and Competence Requirements

-Approximately 3 years of experience in web development/full-stack development in a similar role.

-Solid experience with WordPress and WooCommerce.

-Very good knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.

-Accustomed to working independently and taking ownership of technical solutions.

-Good communication skills and the ability to explain technology in an understandable way.

-Fluent Swedish and good English in speech and writing.

Desirable Qualifications

-Experience working with e-commerce or larger web projects.

-Basic understanding of hosting, operations, and web security.

-Experience using AI-based tools in development work.
