Temporary Waste Worker at Tranemo Municipality

Our recycling center, Returen, is now in need of a temporary waste worker as one of our employees will soon be on parental leave.

As an employee at the Returen recycling center, you will have a varied job alongside friendly colleagues. The role means that you will be the face of Tranemo Municipality in waste management. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your work will involve everything from helping our customers sort their waste correctly to keeping order and tidiness in the area.

You need to be able to meet customers in a professional manner that instills confidence. Special care and good judgment are required when handling hazardous waste that comes into the recycling center. Together with your colleagues, you will also manage some handling of waste bins.

Your work will also include driving forklifts and wheel loaders as well as some administration, such as ordering, registering, and documenting.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you need to be able to work independently, take initiative, be handy, and have good physical condition, as the work is mainly conducted outdoors in all weather conditions.

You are cheerful, positive, service-oriented, and have an easy time collaborating. You are confident and have a professional demeanor even in stressful situations and have the ability to clearly and pedagogically guide visitors to follow the rules that apply at the recycling center.

It is important that you are computer literate and have good knowledge of the Office suite and master Swedish in both speech and writing. Additional language skills that may be useful in our operations are meritorious.

A B driver's license for manual transmission is required.

Work experience is required.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience in customer service
• Experience in waste management and working with hazardous waste
• ADR 1.3 training
• Forklift and/or loader certification

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for this position.
