About the workplace
Operational service is part of the service administration in Ale municipality. The service administration is tasked with providing quality service to Ale municipality's core activities in a professional and resource-efficient manner.

Within operational service and the three service units, we continuously work to develop our operations and work cost-effectively without compromising quality. The goal of the operation is to deliver service-related services to facilitate the everyday life of our core activities. The service units include service tasks (cleaning and janitorial services), vehicle management, and delivery of internal mail. We believe that competence is the key to success and want to be an employer that promotes development and high professional pride among our employees.
The operation consists of approximately 90 objects and about 80 employees. As a service staff member, you can be part of a service team, work alone at your own object, or in our vehicle patrol.
We are now looking for three committed and service-oriented employees for our operations.
Job Responsibilities
In your daily work, you will perform service tasks in the municipality's various operations such as preschools, schools, sports halls, special accommodations, and administrative office spaces together with your colleagues.
You belong to a team of colleagues with similar job responsibilities and managers with good knowledge of the work area. We ensure the quality of our own work and continuously work on competence development.
The daily work largely consists of a planned schedule with varying tasks. We also work based on cases that come in through our digital case management system, which places high demands on flexibility and the ability to plan the day according to the needs that arise. As a service staff member, there are high demands for good collaboration with colleagues within the unit and other operations.
Your tasks as a service staff member may include the following:
- Cleaning
- Setting up furniture
- Floor care
- Maintenance/repair of furniture
- Transport of furniture, bulky waste, etc.
- Window cleaning
- Moving cleanings
- High-altitude cleaning
- Rearrangements
- Diverse services in staff areas including emptying dishwashers and recycling
Qualifications
If you have good collaboration skills, are service-oriented and flexible, and are passionate about the service profession, then you are the one we are looking for!
You have previous experience working with cleaning and/or janitorial services. We are looking for someone who has a strong interest in the service profession, is self-driven, and solution-focused. You are flexible, self-sufficient, confident, and not afraid to make quick decisions within the framework of your role as a service staff member.
Basic computer skills are required, and you must have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form. A B driver's license is also a requirement.
Since the work involves contact with children, you must be able to present an extract from the police's criminal record register when offered employment. Read more here (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/).

Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.
