Department Information

The Service Department is a results-oriented unit operating within Chalmers. We provide service for internal and external operations in our local area. We are responsible for services including cleaning, janitorial services, digital printing, and transport services, among others. The cleaning department is currently organized into 6 groups of approximately 10-20 employees each. We are responsible for all cleaning of Chalmers' premises and continuously work to update our cleaning methods and keep up with technological developments in the cleaning field to deliver a quality-conscious and professional result.

Job Description

We are now looking for an additional Cleaner. The workgroup consists of about 20 employees who work daily with cleaning in various environments at Chalmers.

We offer a fun workplace where the university's various activities often dictate the daily operations. The work is fast-paced and presents challenges as well as opportunities for development. In your role as a cleaner at Chalmers, you will become part of a close-knit team that shares responsibility for a cleaning area.

Throughout the year, deep cleaning and floor care will also take place in all premises.

Working hours are Monday - Friday from 06:00 to 14:30 with the possibility of some flexible hours. Extra cleaning on weekends may occur throughout the year.

Employment Type

Permanent full-time employment. A six-month probationary period applies.

Qualifications

We are looking for a meticulous, independent person who takes responsibility. The tasks require good planning skills, flexibility, communication, teamwork, and accountability. You are service-oriented and have a pleasant demeanor towards everyone in our areas, including colleagues, students, and visitors.

Experience in the cleaning profession is required, and it is advantageous if you have any documented cleaning education or other qualifications that we consider equivalent. Experience with cleaning machines and floor care machines, as well as floor care, is also advantageous.

All instructions, information, and communication with colleagues and customers are conducted in Swedish, so it is a requirement that you understand and can communicate in Swedish.

Knowledge of English is an advantage.
