Night Home Care

The mission of home care is to create security and quality of life for our care recipients by allowing them to stay at home for as long as possible.

We offer individually tailored support and assistance in daily life, based on each person's unique needs and circumstances. Our services can include everything from personal care to practical help – around the clock, every day of the year.

With the care recipient at the center, we work based on individual implementation plans, where our core values of trust, care, and participation permeate everything we do.

Night home care consists of five groups based in Visby, Roma, Slite, Hemse, and Fårösund. The groups collaborate closely, and work is often done in pairs, but independent work also occurs.

We are now looking for engaged and responsible employees for night home care, who want to make a difference and can work in all our night groups around the island.

Your Responsibilities

In home care, you perform care tasks in the care recipient's home. You work together with your colleagues to create security for our care recipients based on their individual circumstances, needs, and wishes. The work involves a lot of communication and collaboration between the groups.

We work based on SOL and have delegated HSL measures. We use several digital tools such as monitoring via security cameras. You work on a basic schedule with awake night shifts, with working hours from 21:00 to 06:30 or 21:45 to 07:15 depending on which shift you work.

We are looking for someone who wants to work to make a difference for our care recipients in their daily lives.

Who Are You?

We primarily seek someone who is a trained nursing assistant. To be employed as a nursing assistant, you must have the right to use the protected professional title according to current regulations.

If you are applying as a residential assistant, it is desirable that you have completed a secondary education, preferably with a focus on care and nursing, such as a care assistant.

A B driver's license is a requirement. We prefer that you have experience working in home care and have worked awake nights.

We are looking for someone who is stable and has personal maturity, which creates security for both colleagues and care recipients. You are self-sufficient, responsible, and have a holistic perspective in your work. You are rule-conscious and follow current routines, while also having good collaborative skills and an ease in building strong relationships.

Since the work takes place in several groups, you are flexible and adaptable. You are also confident in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

About the Social Administration

As part of Region Gotland, we at the social administration work with social interventions such as counseling, support, and treatment. Our areas of operation include social services, home healthcare, elderly care, and care for people with disabilities throughout Gotland.
