UL operates buses to Forsmark with wireless networks on the routes Gävle-Forsmark and Uppsala-Forsmark, allowing you to use travel time as working time if/when work permits. Buses to and from Forsmark are adapted to the working hours of daytime staff. You also have the opportunity to use our remote workplaces in Gävle and Uppsala or work from home if/when work permits.

About the Role
The group is responsible for ensuring that the areas of dosimetry and whole-body measurement as well as radiological environmental monitoring are maintained and function according to high standards.
Your role will involve practical work in dosimetry, reviewing and managing access documents and dose passes, as well as responsibility for archiving and record maintenance. You will also participate in whole-body measurements and assist in the preparation and handling of samples within the environmental monitoring program.
This summer job offers a unique opportunity to work with a wide range of varied and diverse tasks with a clear scientific connection. Working at NAOD also provides an excellent introduction to the operations within the GN-AO unit, Operational Radiation Protection.
Requirements
Requirements:
- You are over 18 years old.
- You speak and write fluently in Swedish, and preferably have knowledge of English.
- You are studying a high school education in natural sciences.
- It is an advantage if you are studying a university degree with a focus on physics/radiation protection.
- It is an advantage if you have a B driver's license.
- Previous work at FKA, radiation protection, and dosimetry is an advantage.
We are looking for someone who:
