About Eriksberg and Norby Home Care
Eriksberg and Norby home care are two units that assist users in Eriksberg, Norby, and surrounding areas with home care services. We care deeply about doing a good job for our users and collaborating within the unit. We assist our users with everything from cleaning and laundry to care services and delegated health and medical services.
Your Mission
As a nursing assistant with us, you will have a central role in contact with our users where you provide personal care, rehabilitative training, activities, and service measures that create security and facilitate daily life. Your tasks will include personal care, training, activities, medication management, wound care, and other delegated health care tasks.
You will document according to the Social Services Act and always work with great consideration for the user's individual needs. Together with colleagues, you will contribute to developing both the organization and yourself.
We offer a flexible work schedule with both day and evening shifts, and everyone in the team works every other weekend.
Your Background
We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare and who has experience working with delegated tasks. The work requires that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Since we use bicycles as the main mode of transport for home visits, it is a requirement that you can and want to cycle year-round. It is also advantageous if you have experience working in dementia care.
As a person, you are secure and stable, with good self-awareness and the ability to distinguish between the professional and the personal. You adapt your approach according to the situation and contribute to a respectful and professional attitude. You are persistent, maintain motivation even when facing challenges, and work purposefully until tasks are completed. You collaborate well with others, are attentive and communicative, and handle conflicts constructively to create a good working environment and cooperation within the team.

As of July 1, 2023, the title nursing assistant is a protected professional title. To use the title nursing assistant, you must provide proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023. Those who have nursing assistant training but lack proof or certificates may temporarily receive the title of care assistant.
In your application, you should state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, which is required under the Aliens Ordinance.
Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve a military placement.
