Your tasks

In the role of summer substitute/casual worker within home care, you will support and assist individuals receiving home care to live as independently as possible. The work is performed in the home of the home care recipient.

The tasks within home care vary and may include assistance with daily activities such as breakfast, dressing, and walks, as well as practical tasks like laundry, digital shopping, and cleaning. There may also be assistance with personal care, such as showering and toilet visits.
The work is coaching, free, and varied, and involves significant responsibility. You will move between different areas by walking, cycling, or most often by car. We have varying working hours such as daytime, evening, and weekends.

Home care in Södertälje consists of 13 different operations that are geographically divided within the municipality. As a substitute, you will be placed in one of these operations.
You are welcome to indicate your preference for which operation you would like to work in, but the needs and requirements of the operation will determine the final placement.

Who are you?

Requirements:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- You have basic computer skills and can document in the operation's system.
- A driver's license is required in several operations. Applicants with a driver's license will be prioritized in this recruitment.

Meritorious:
- Education as a nursing assistant or other relevant upper secondary education.
- Previous experience in elderly care or previous experience from service professions.
- A strong interest in helping other people and engagement in work within healthcare.

Personal qualities:
- You are empathetic, patient, and have an easy time making contact and building trust.
- You are attentive, stress-resistant, and can work independently.
- You are flexible, adaptable, and have good teamwork skills and follow established routines.
