Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.

We are now looking for a certified teacher in Science and Technology for grades 6–9, starting January 7, 2026. For those with extensive experience and strong commitment, there is also the opportunity to eventually step in as a subject team leader.
Internationella Engelska Skolan in Huddinge opened in 2013 and has about 550 students in grades 6-9. The school is located between Visättra and Solgård in Huddinge municipality, which is an area undergoing a major transformation into a dynamic work and residential area!
IES is proud of its employees and has developed a method to create a calm and safe school environment. This allows our teachers to have more time to share their knowledge, both with students and colleagues. Your own teaching as a teacher from Sweden is conducted in Swedish, but among colleagues, we speak English.

Your role
As a Science teacher, you will be a key person in our students' learning. In addition to planning, teaching, assessment, and follow-up, you will also be a mentor and contribute to students' personal development. You will work closely with guardians, colleagues, and the student health team to create the best possible conditions for each student to succeed.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is:
- A certified teacher with qualifications in Science and preferably Technology for grades 6–9.
- A pedagogue who can inspire, challenge, and meet students at their level.
- A clear and confident leader in the classroom with the ability to create structure and a conducive learning environment.
- Flexible, cooperative, and positive – you see opportunities and solutions.
- Accustomed to adapting teaching and working inclusively with the student health team and special educators.
- Comfortable teaching and communicating in both Swedish and English.
