The vision for Backaskolan is educators who work closely together and focus on students' learning and development during both school and leisure time. A team consisting of three teachers with complementary competencies shares responsibility for both school and leisure activities and follows their group throughout the entire day and school time, grades F-3. Backaskolan started in the autumn of 2017. The school is built close to nature, which has inspired both the choice of materials and furnishings. In the restaurant, meals are prepared from scratch, and much of what we serve consists of ingredients that have been saved from going to waste. The premises are designed for flexible teaching with a large gathering room and several smaller and larger group rooms in each home base. The flexibility of the premises aligns with the school's vision of stimulating, enjoyable, and creative learning environments.

The Special Educator is part of the School's Health Team

The special educator is part of the school's health team together with the principal, special education teacher, school nurse, special teachers, school counselor, and school psychologist. The health work at the school is primarily promotional and preventive. The interventions are based on systematic collaboration where EHT staff and teachers cooperate to provide students with accessible learning environments and the opportunity to reach as far as possible in their knowledge development. You work at the organizational, group, and individual levels on behalf of the principal, through collaboration in the health team and through daily work among the students. Contact with guardians as well as advice and guidance to teachers is also part of your assignment.

Your Assignment

• Collaborate with teachers, guardians, and in the joint health work
• Participate in investigations concerning students in need of special support
• Teaching, individually or in smaller groups, based on identified needs in grades F-1
• Teaching students who have extra adaptations and special support in grades 1-3
• Documentation of the effects of support measures
• Guidance of teachers in matters concerning special education

Requirements for the Position

We are looking for someone who is a licensed special educator or has a teaching degree with qualifications for grades F-3 with further education in special education. You have a systematic approach to your work with good structure and the ability to document important processes. You actively work to ensure that all students achieve their knowledge goals and support teachers in finding solutions in everyday life. You have good digital competence and stay updated in the field.

To obtain employment, a criminal record extract from the Police must be presented.
