Bread Department Manager Wanted!

We are looking for a driven and positive person who is passionate about engaging with our customers and has a strong interest in food, service, and sales. We want you, together with your colleagues, to create a vibrant top-class bread department and take it to the next level.

We expect you to have the skills and experience to run a successful store department. The bread department includes both bread (soft & hard bread, cakes, and biscuits) as well as baked bread in the store. Bread is an important part of the store, and we invest heavily in in-store baked bread, which is appreciated by our customers. In your role as department manager, you should be able to offer our customers a neat and inviting bread department every day of the week. You and your colleagues will work together to create upselling opportunities and inspire customers to enjoy shopping through a well-planned department with high sales pressure.

We value flexibility and service orientation, along with a strong commitment to work. You should be creative, brave, and proactive. We want you to communicate easily, be clear in your leadership, and have the ability to delegate and analyze. We place great importance on previous experience in similar tasks and see that you are educated in baking or pastry.

In your role, you will be responsible for orders and supplier contacts. You will follow up on sales against budget, actively work to reduce physical damage and waste, and ensure that the department has clear routines and guidelines. Furthermore, you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are good at handling stressful situations.

This advertisement is for a permanent part-time position (35h/week) starting on February 3, 2025, or by agreement. Working hours vary but are mainly during the day. Evening and weekend work may occur. Recruitment is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. We apply a probationary period.

Previous experience in a store bakery is highly meritorious
Previous experience in retail or grocery trade is meritorious
Completed Leadership Training is highly meritorious
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement
Completed high school education is a requirement
Education in Baking/Pastry is a requirement
