Who are we looking for?

We are now looking for an outdoor salesperson who, with joy and positivity, wants to sell our event and conference facilities in Gothenburg.

We offer a unique opportunity for you to help shape and develop this role from the ground up. As our first outdoor salesperson in events, you will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and driving our business forward.

Compass Group has been entrusted to manage an increasing number of conference facilities across the country and is now establishing a new role as Sales Manager for our units in Gothenburg and Borås. Common to our meeting places is that they are completely newly renovated, equipped with the latest technology, and offer a world-class food and beverage selection. Here, you, together with our local functions, will play a key role in developing and positioning our conference offerings in the market.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for selling our event services to new and existing customers.
  • Actively identify and contact potential customers through visits, phone calls, and digital channels.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through personal service and advice.
  • Negotiate contracts and prices and follow up the sales process to closure.
  • Participate in networking events and industry fairs to expand your network and generate leads.
  • Collaborate with our internal teams to ensure that customer needs are met in the best way possible.

It is your responsibility to fill our meeting places with satisfied guests, and to succeed in this, we believe you need:

  • At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the event or experience industry.
  • Be self-driven, results-oriented, and have a strong ability to build relationships.
  • A strong interest in events and an understanding of customer needs in detail.
  • The ability to convey the value of our services convincingly.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within your sales area.
  • Experience in both relationship-building and proactive sales through calls, customer visits, fairs, and events.
  • A flexible attitude and the ability to independently adapt your tactics to achieve your goals if circumstances change.
  • Be a team player but also comfortable working independently.
  • A broad network in Gothenburg and surrounding areas.
  • Be a skilled communicator who is not afraid to produce simple marketing materials in both Swedish and English.

You will be based at our Gothenburg office at Uni3 by Geely but will, of course, spend a lot of time out at our units. The role reports to the Head of Commercial Development with a dotted line to the Regional and Key Account Manager.
