Special Head of Legislative Projects at the Consumer Unit, Ministry of Finance

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to utilize your legal expertise and skills in legislative work? We are now seeking a special head for the Consumer Unit. The Department of Public Administration is responsible for the development of administrative and consumer policies. The unit consists of eleven employees.

As the special head at the Consumer Unit, you will be responsible for the unit's legislation. You will lead and participate in various legislative projects, such as drafting memoranda, committee directives, regulations, council remits, and propositions. You will also work on policy issues and other legal matters in the consumer area and contribute to the preparation and anchoring of cases in accordance with the Government Offices' routines. Furthermore, you will participate in presentations and meetings with the Minister of Civil Affairs and other political leadership. Your work will be characterized by a mix of long-term structural issues and quick assessments, and you are expected to contribute to the development of the work. High collaboration skills and adaptability to different conditions are important qualities for success in your role.

At the department and unit, lawyers, political scientists, and economists work closely together. Your work will involve many contacts with political leadership and with other units and departments. External contacts with authorities and organizations are included. The unit's work has a strong EU connection, and you will have the opportunity to represent Sweden internationally.

Your Background.

We are looking for someone with a law degree. You are a court of appeal or administrative court assessor with several years of experience in legislative work at a legal secretariat, legislative unit, or equivalent within the Government Offices.

You are well acquainted with the Government Offices' routines, working methods, and processes.

The position is a permanent employment with a start date by agreement. A security clearance will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. There may be an opportunity for an agreement on remote work.
