About the role

As a buyer at Sifvert Skruv AB, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a broad and technical assortment of primarily fastening materials for customers in the manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for both operational and tactical purchasing work and collaborate closely with sales, warehouse, and the purchasing manager. The role is varied and includes everything from delivery monitoring and supplier contacts to data-driven analyses and improvement work.

You will work in an organization with short decision-making paths, a strong culture, and a clear focus on quality, service, and long-term relationships – both with customers and suppliers.

Your tasks:

• Conduct purchases and put suppliers in competition according to needs, forecasts, and inventory strategy

• Manage supplier relationships primarily in Europe but also in Asia

• Follow up on deliveries, prices, and terms, and handle deviations and complaints

• Manage incoming deliveries and customs-related issues

• Collect and analyze purchasing data as a basis for decisions

• Contribute to improvement projects related to purchasing processes, systems, and work methods

• Participate in market monitoring and identification of new suppliers

To succeed in this role, you need to thrive in a changing environment with many articles, quick decisions, and a high pace where not everything is automated. We would like you to be interested in improvement work, and it is an advantage if you have experience with how AI can develop purchasing work. You need to be able to prioritize, manage deliveries and deadlines, take initiatives – but also be willing to ask for help when needed. You are unpretentious and enjoy working practically with purchasing, have technical understanding but also a strategic perspective and interest, and like to solve problems together with others.

In addition, you have:

• 3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably within technical trade or wholesale

• Good system proficiency and very good knowledge of Excel

• Comfortable in contact with suppliers and experienced in working with both standard and special products

• Communicate fluently in both spoken and written Swedish and English

• Experience with customs procedures and import flows is an advantage

• Post-secondary education in purchasing, logistics, or economics is an advantage

The position is full-time, located in Västberga in southern Stockholm, and after an introduction, you have the opportunity for remote work 1 day/week. We apply a 6-month probationary period. You will work in a small close-knit team where decision-making paths are short, and you report to the purchasing manager.
