Infrastructure Specialist in Server and Storage

The IT and Digital Development unit is now looking for an engaged and analytical person for the position of Infrastructure Specialist in the area of Server and Storage, with a strong desire to develop and take responsibility for services within the object area.

The IT and Digital Development unit, which is part of the municipal management office, is tasked with governing, supporting, and driving the municipality's development work with the support of IT. Within the unit, the municipality's collective IT infrastructure, system management, development support, as well as user support and assistance are gathered.

About the Position

The position of Infrastructure Specialist in Server and Storage is a broad role with its own responsibilities and varied tasks. Like other IT infrastructure specialists and object specialists within the group, you will work with the daily operations, management, and monitoring of the security of the services within the Server and Storage object. The role also involves analyzing support and operational disruptions, working with security-enhancing measures, monitoring and suggesting improvements at the server level and functions in server management, as well as delivering on various types of assignments and projects.

Furthermore, the position requires you to have a driver's license and to be proficient in both Swedish and English, in both written and spoken form. In addition to your personal qualities, you bring technical competence and several years of experience working with infrastructure and virtualized environments.

Qualifications:

• At least a 3-year high school education or other relevant post-secondary education
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
• Good collaborative skills, eager to share your knowledge
• Driver's license
• Analytical and responsible working approach

Preferred Technical Qualifications

• Experience working with Dell servers and the management tool Dell OpenManage Enterprise.
• Experience working with Cisco servers and the management tool Cisco Intersight
• Experience administering and developing VMware solutions (especially the server platform ESXi and vCenter)
• Experience working with Microsoft products, especially the server platform Windows 2016 up to Windows 2022(2025)
• Experience working with the monitoring product SCOM.
• Knowledge of NetApp storage solutions
• Knowledge of Cryptospike (security software from NetApp)
• Knowledge of the backup solution Veeam

At the municipal management office, the central management resources and administrative support for the municipality's areas of operation, such as finance, investigation, HR, and communication, are located. We coordinate and drive overarching development and are responsible for strategies, guidelines, and tools.

A completed and approved security clearance with a security interview and background check is included as the position is security classified. A probationary period may be applied.

The working hours are between 08:00 and 16:20, with flexible hours between 06:00 and 21:00 if the work allows. Primarily between 07:30 and 17:00. Other times and evening work may become relevant for special efforts, as well as for larger delivery or change projects. On-call duty outside working hours according to a schedule is included in the position.
