Database Developer at E-health Agency

About the position

In the role of database developer, you will contribute to developing our services and maintaining existing systems. You will investigate, design, implement, and maintain data models, procedures, data access objects, and other database objects. You will have the opportunity to ensure the quality of solutions so that they meet functional and non-functional requirements. Furthermore, you will maintain metadata and reference tables and work on ongoing performance optimization. You will work in an agile cross-functional development team where you support and receive support from each other. The team is technically at the forefront, and we work together to ensure the quality of solutions before they are delivered to customers.

About you

To succeed as a database developer, you need both experience and a strong interest in databases and programming. You are an analytical person who is passionate about technology and can move freely between different database systems and environments.

You are independent and proactive, used to taking responsibility for your tasks and coming up with creative solutions. You also have good collaboration skills and are happy to share your knowledge with others.

We are looking for someone who has:

• relevant academic education in data/IT or equivalent work experience
• several years of current experience in database development and data modeling in Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous for the position if you have:

• current experience with version control using Git
• current experience with version control using Liquibase or Flyway
• current experience with transaction-intensive systems that handle large amounts of data
• current experience with agile working methods and test-driven development.

The employment is permanent with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. The place of employment is Kalmar or Stockholm. The work may involve business trips, primarily between Kalmar and Stockholm.
