Summer Job for IT Students at Göteborg Energi

Do you want to exchange labs and test environments for real-world IT used every day? As a summer intern with us, you step directly into a daily routine where systems, users, and operations meet, and where your contribution truly makes a difference.

We are looking for a curious IT student who wants to test their knowledge, learn a lot, and gain insight into how IT works in a socially important organization.

Your Task

During the summer, you will support our IT specialists in their daily work. This may include:

• Working with system administration and basic configurations
• Assisting with troubleshooting and case management
• Documenting how systems are used and how workflows look in practice
• Creating user manuals and training materials
• Reviewing existing solutions and suggesting improvements

This is a summer job where you will gain practical experience that is invaluable after your studies. You will learn how IT functions in a larger organization and work with real systems in live environments. You will also contribute to an organization that is important for Gothenburg and society. With us, you will have the opportunity to take responsibility, but never without support - we work together.

Your Team

The IT department at Göteborg Energi delivers and manages IT services within the group. The department has a broad area of responsibility and is divided into five units that collaborate with the business to identify needs and deliver system support.

Your Competence

You are studying IT, system science, or similar and have completed at least two years of your education. You enjoy understanding how things are interconnected, are not afraid to dive deep into systems, and like solving problems. Perhaps you have tried web development, worked with databases, or built your own projects – but most importantly, you are curious and eager to learn.
