Description

The Regional Archive is Sweden's largest municipal/regional archive.

Here you will find over 120 kilometers of paper documents and large amounts of digital information. The public, researchers, businesses, and authorities seek information from us related to schools, social services, healthcare, politics, urban development, local traffic, culture, associations in Gothenburg, and much more.

In order to be able to search for and provide the requested material, we need to ensure that the right information is preserved in the right way. We do this by making decisions, conducting supervision, and providing training, advice, and support to the authorities. The regulations we base our work on make it possible to develop a modern information management in collaboration with the operations. It should be as easy as possible for the authorities to do the right thing. The Regional Archive is also developing and adapting a digital final archive to meet future information needs.

The Regional Archive is an administration in the City of Gothenburg and is governed by the Archive Board, a joint archive authority for the Västra Götaland Region and the City of Gothenburg. The administration has about 50 employees in Gothenburg and Vänersborg who contribute in various ways to ensuring that the right information is preserved and accessible today and in the future.

Job Responsibilities

Are you the one who can take a comprehensive approach to security issues and make regulations and requirements understandable in everyday life? We are now looking for you who want to build structures, drive development, and strengthen information security and security protection in close collaboration with the operations. We offer an interesting job in a small administration with a large and important societal mission.

The role of security and information security coordinator is new and gives you good opportunities to design sustainable structures in close collaboration with engaged colleagues. You will ensure that governance is understandable, usable, and anchored in the operations, and you will work both strategically and operationally for a good security culture.

In your work, you will develop relevant internal routines, plans, and other governance and support documents. You will ensure that these are practical and that managers and employees have the right knowledge through ongoing support and training initiatives.

The focus of the position is the assignment as information security coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and driving a systematic and long-term approach to information and cyber security in the administration. This includes collaboration on issues related to data protection.

In the role of security coordinator, you will coordinate and develop the administration's security work. You will conduct risk analyses and plan initiatives to ensure the administration's security protection and ability to handle crises, societal disturbances, and civil preparedness. This includes collaboration on physical security and personal safety.

You will be part of the office with five employees where the others are support functions within IT, data protection, archive law, case management, record keeping, archiving, and communication. In the security protection assignment, you will report directly to the head of administration and in other matters to the office manager. You will be part of the administration's crisis management organization and have close collaboration with the administration management and other roles within the administration.

The role requires that you are confident in your skills and used to working independently. At the same time, you have good colleagues within the administration as well as access to established networks and support within the City of Gothenburg.

Qualifications

You have a relevant university degree or post-secondary education in information security or a related field. You have a good understanding of IT and the fundamental principles of information security – confidentiality, integrity, and availability – and experience in explaining and applying these in operational contexts. You also have knowledge of related concepts such as identification, authentication, authorization, accountability, and traceability. You have the ability to read, interpret, and translate laws, regulations, and governing documents into practical and operational security work.

It is an advantage if you have experience or education in security protection work. If you do not have this fully, there is an opportunity to build your skills through training in the position. Experience in administrative work within public administration is also advantageous, especially if you have good knowledge of public access and secrecy legislation and understand the connection between the protection of public documents, data protection, and information security.

As a person, you take responsibility for driving the work forward and are confident in your skills. You are used to working broadly and independently, while also collaborating selflessly by listening and showing respect for others' perspectives. You are pedagogical and have the ability to make the difficult easier. You enjoy the variation between strategic and operational tasks and between simple and more complex issues.

We do not expect you to have expertise in all areas included in the position, but that you have a clear desire and ability to develop in the role. For us, personal suitability, judgment, and drive are crucial. We are happy to tell you more when we meet.
