Your Responsibilities

Welcome to Ryd's Assisted Living and Home Care. We are now looking for dedicated employees who want to make a difference in the daily lives of our residents!

As a care assistant with us, you start your day by picking up your phone and getting an overview of the day's planning. You then visit the clients – by bike or on foot – and provide support and care based on their individual needs and wishes in accordance with IBIC (Individual Needs in Center). The tasks vary and may include personal care, assistance during meals, social interaction, cleaning, cooking, shopping, and laundry. You will also perform health care tasks delegated by a nurse.

The work is independent, but you always have close support from your colleagues. You collaborate with home care, rehabilitation staff, management, and administration. The role includes being a contact person for a number of clients, establishing and documenting implementation plans, and maintaining contact with relatives and other care institutions. All documentation is done in the digital journal system Treserva.

The positions are 100% and the working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Your Workplace

Ryd's Assisted Living and Home Care is operated by the Health and Care Administration and is located in the Ryd area. The assisted living facility is located at Mårdtorpsgatan 35 near Ryd's center and consists of 32 assisted living apartments where residents receive support from home care. The facility has a pleasant dining room where our elderly can meet and enjoy a nice time over lunch and coffee or participate in activities organized by our meeting point. In addition to the services at the assisted living facility, we also provide support to around 200 people who live at home in the surrounding area. For home visits, we use bicycles or walk, and we start from our pleasant premises at the assisted living facility.

With us, you become part of a positive and close-knit team of about 25 employees, mainly care assistants. We work closely with nurses and rehabilitation teams to meet each individual's needs in the best way possible. We value community and a good working environment. Therefore, we regularly gather after morning visits to assess the clients' situations and exchange experiences. Every four weeks, we hold workplace meetings (APT) where we discuss development issues and work for continuous improvement.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who has a completed upper secondary education combined with experience in care and support. We consider it an advantage if you are a trained care assistant and are used to delegated health care tasks. If you have previously worked in home care and are familiar with working from a salutogenic approach, a low-arousal response, and IBIC (individual needs in center), it is a plus.

You need to feel comfortable with digital tools, be able to document and keep records of your work, and be able to cycle – this is part of everyday life with us. Working in elderly care involves many meetings with people and a fair amount of documentation, so you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility, but you also enjoy collaborating and communicating clearly. You have a great deal of empathy and can adapt when situations change.
