Summer Job at Miva – Make a Difference This Summer!
Water and sewage, along with waste and recycling, are part of our everyday life.
Our main tasks are concrete, but it is also in our industry that significant investments are made. This is necessary because an important part of our infrastructure needs to function both today and far into the future.
Are you interested in a summer job where you can use your technical skills, take responsibility, and contribute to a sustainable society? At Miva, you make a real difference – every day.
We are now looking for two dedicated summer interns for Water and Sewage Production, Sewage Unit. You will become part of the operation and help ensure that our facilities function even during the summer period.
This is a summer job for you who want to work practically, develop your technical understanding, and gain deeper insight into how a socially important operation works in practice.
Whether you see yourself in a future role within operations, technology, engineering, project management, or other community-building activities, the summer job provides valuable experiences of real processes, facilities, and technical systems.
About the Job
As a summer intern in sewage, you will work alongside experienced colleagues in the operational activities. The work is varied and combines technology, problem-solving, and collaboration. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the operation and see how technology, environmental requirements, safety, and social responsibility are interconnected in practice. For many, this is a valuable foundation to carry forward into studies or professional life – even if they do not plan to work operationally within water and sewage in the long term.
Your tasks may include:
- Participating in the operation and preventive maintenance of our facilities and gaining an understanding of how technical systems work in real operations
- Performing service and minor repairs of treatment plants and pumping stations
- Working both independently and in teams to solve technical tasks
- Contributing to documentation and reporting in our IT systems, providing insight into how technical operations are monitored and quality assured
The work takes place within the Örnsköldsvik municipality and involves travel between facilities during rounds.
