In Sweden, approximately 970 employees work within our commercial operations or in manufacturing at one of our factories in Gothenburg, Kristinehamn, Stockvik, and Malmö. Our headquarters are located in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

At Stockviksverken, there is the only production facility for Pergopak in the world. Pergopak is an additive primarily used in paints and varnishes, but also as a carrier for fertilizers in the agricultural industry. The factory has a dedicated team of 14 employees, and Pergopak production is part of the Akzo Nobel Adhesives business.

What will you be working on?

As a Process Operator, you will be responsible, together with your colleagues, for ensuring that our products are manufactured safely, with the right quality and on time. Tasks may include packing the product in bulk bags, process analyses, checking the physical status of the facility, self-checks, and performing operator maintenance.

As a summer intern, you will work shifts with the following schedule: Two days of daytime work (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) followed by two nights (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM), then you will have four days off.

Who are you?

To perform well in this role, we see that you are responsible, meticulous, systematic, and enjoy working in a team. All employees continuously work on improvements, which means you like to take your own initiatives to improve and solve problems. A strong will and flexibility are other important qualities for thriving in this position. In addition, we would like you to have the following qualifications:

• Completed high school education

• You must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment

• Knowledge in chemistry or process technology is an advantage

• Good verbal and written skills in Swedish and English

• You should be available for work from June to August

Additional information

The positions are summer internships for the months of June-August 2026. It is important that you are available for the entire work period.

Mandatory introduction and training may take place before the start of employment in May-June. As part of our commitment to a drug-free workplace, we drug test all new hires regardless of position.
