We are now looking for an engaged janitor in Husum who thrives in an industrial environment and who wants to be a key person in creating a safe, functional, and well-maintained workplace – both indoors and outdoors, year-round.

About the Role

As a janitor in Husum, you have a broad and independent role with responsibility for property services, coordination, and daily operations in and around an industrial/production environment. The work follows an annual cycle of recurring tasks and is combined with ongoing service, urgent measures, and seasonal work tasks.

The role involves both practical work and coordination with internal clients, tenants, and external contractors.

Your main tasks include:

• Coordination and execution of minor relocations and office services (assembly, sign installation, quote collection, etc.)
• Planning and coordination of changing rooms and break areas in collaboration with contractors and coordination during UH stops
• Basic plumbing work and coordination of larger plumbing efforts
• Minor construction and maintenance work as well as urgent repairs
• Outdoor work such as landscaping, clearing, manual snow removal, and ice control according to the prioritization plan

In addition, the role includes:

• Contact person for tenants and internal clients in minor janitorial and maintenance issues
• Supervision of seasonal workers during seasonal work
• Cleaning of outdoor areas and entrances as well as heavy cleaning when needed (e.g., after UH stops)
• Waste management and follow-up of sorting
• Cleaning of gutters and roof drains in consultation with the client
• Service and maintenance of gardening tools and machines
• Basic self-checks and administrative documentation

The work is partially physically demanding and takes place both indoors and outdoors during all seasons of the year.

The position is located in Husum.
Employment type: Full-time, permanent (with an initial probationary period).
Working hours: Weekdays, Monday–Friday from 07:00 to 16:00.
Urgent measures outside regular working hours may occur according to agreed routines.

Who Are We Looking For?

Requirements:

• Experience in janitorial work, property maintenance, or similar practical work
• Basic knowledge of simple plumbing and construction work
• Experience working independently and taking responsibility
• Driver's license (B)
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Ability to work in an industrial/production environment according to applicable safety procedures

Meritorious:

• Experience in coordination or supervision
• Experience working in an industrial environment
• Experience in landscaping and machine handling
• Familiarity with basic administrative documentation
