Production Planner at Synsam Innovation Center in Frösön

In August 2022, we opened the doors to Synsam Innovation Center, our production and innovation center in Frösön, Östersund. It is the first large-scale manufacturing industry for eyewear frames in the Nordics and one of the world's most modern and innovative facilities for eyewear manufacturing. We are currently around 50 people working in production and now as we grow, you can become a part of it!

About the role

As a Production Planner at Synsam, you have a central and operational role in ensuring a safe, stable, and efficient production. You work closely with both the production floor and colleagues in the organization, acting as an important link between planning, systems, and daily operations.

You have overall responsibility for maintaining and developing routines and work processes to meet the needs and requirements of production. The role is an expansion of the team; there is already one production planner in place, and as our production increases, we are strengthening our team with additional expertise. The position is based at our office where you will be part of an engaged team of 12 people while also having a clear presence in the operations.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Responsible for operational production planning on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

• Ensuring a safe, stable, and efficient production

• Planning, following up, and analyzing production

• Driving improvement work within production and work processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and support within SAP as well as material handling and inventory processes. The role also includes the introduction and administration of new products.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who thrives in an operational everyday life with fast flows and varying workdays. You are structured, meticulous, and have a natural sense of order with a strong consequence thinking and the ability to think several steps ahead. You are confident in making decisions and being the spider in the web.

You likely have several years of experience from a similar role or from production/logistics where you have gradually taken on more responsibility. Formal education is not a requirement; we highly value practical experience and good business understanding.

Experience with SAP is a plus, but not a requirement.
