Production Engineer – Coating (Östersund)

Are you passionate about smart solutions and efficient production? We are looking for an engaged Production Engineer for our coating lines in Östersund. Here, you will play a central role at the heart of our operations, where your work directly impacts delivery precision, quality, and work environment. You will work closely with production and see the direct effect of your ideas.

About the Role

As a production engineer for our coating lines, you will be a key person in creating efficient flows and robust processes. You will collaborate daily with production leaders and shop floor workers in the area.

Your main responsibilities:

• Improve flows and workplaces: Drive LEAN/5S, workplace design, and continuous improvements with a focus on safety, quality, and delivery.
• Root cause & disturbances: Take the lead in problem-solving, perform root cause analyses, and secure lasting solutions.
• Instructions & standards: Own and update instructions for the coating lines.
• Maintenance: Design preventive maintenance together with suppliers and operators.
• New products: Participate in the introduction of new products, prototypes, and outcome testing.
• Quality & follow-up: Drive improvement activities and follow up on results.

Who we believe you are

• Have a technical education (YH/university) or equivalent experience in production engineering/automation.
• Have experience in surface treatment.
• Experience with LEAN/5S and accustomed to creating standardized instructions and maintenance plans.
• Enjoy being close to production, are hands-on, communicative, and like collaboration.
• Can handle both quick responses to disturbances and long-term improvements.
