Within the Care and Support Administration, we have full-time as the norm. This means that all permanent employees fundamentally have a full-time position. More information about what this means for this position will be provided during a potential interview. Exempt from full-time as the norm are personal assistants.

Sävja Home Care

Sävja Home Care is a home care unit that assists users in Sävja and surrounding areas with home care services. We care deeply about doing a good job for our users and helping each other and collaborating within the unit. We assist our users with everything from cleaning and laundry to care services and delegated health services. At Sävja Home Care, we primarily cycle to our users who live in their own apartments or houses in our area.

Job Description

As a nursing assistant in home care, you will work with many different tasks. You have an important role in direct contact with our users where you provide personal care and service efforts that make a difference in their daily lives. You work every day to provide good care with great consideration for the user's individual needs. You also perform tasks delegated by licensed personnel and document according to the Social Services Act. Our ambition is that you, together with us, develop the operations and yourself in close collaboration with your colleagues.

We offer a flexible work schedule with both day and evening shifts, and everyone in the team works every other weekend. With us, you will be part of a close-knit team that collaborates closely with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to ensure that our users receive safe, individualized, and quality care.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. To succeed in the role, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. We consider it an advantage if you have relevant experience in home care. The job requires that you can cycle in all weather conditions year-round.

As a person, you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances and quickly change your perspective and approach. You have the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation. Additionally, you are good at collaborating and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. The job suits you if you take initiative and start activities to achieve results.

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant is a protected professional title. To use the title of nursing assistant, you need to present proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023. If you have nursing assistant training but lack proof or a certificate, you may be granted the title of care assistant during a transition period.

We will request an extract from the criminal record before an employment offer can be made.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.

Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve a military placement.
