As a deacon, you will be an important part of the joint team, which consists of another deacon and a total of just over ten employees. The work is led by the parish priest, and we value good cooperation and personal responsibility, which we believe is both developing and creates a pleasant working environment.

Your main task is to, together with your deacon colleague, lead, develop, and coordinate the parishes' diaconal work. You will have a natural place in the parish's worship services, lead devotions in nursing homes, recruit, coordinate, and inspire volunteers, be responsible for diaconal groups, hold individual conversations, and be part of the pastorate's deacon collegium.

In our parishes, there is much good work to build upon, but also room to let your gifts and your insight into needs shape the work. We are looking for someone with personal maturity, who is secure and stable. You have good collaboration skills and find it easy to create and maintain good relationships. We would like you to have previous experience of diaconal work in a parish, with experience in pastoral care and working with people in economic and social vulnerability.

You are a secure and attentive person with the ability to see individual needs, meet different ages, and have a good eye for diaconal needs. You are an ordained deacon, have basic computer skills, and can express yourself well in speech and writing. A B driver's license is a requirement.

Anundsjö and Skorpeds parishes are located in the southwestern part of Örnsköldsvik municipality. Within the parishes, just over 4,000 people live, of which about 80 percent are church members. The activities are characterized by a rich musical life, a growing children and youth work, and important diaconal work. For many years, there has also been close cooperation with both EFS and local free churches.
