We are looking for someone who wants a summer job where you create security and contribute to ensuring that our elderly Stockholmers in Kungsholmen have a meaningful and functioning everyday life and summer.
Welcome to us

We are an engaged staff group consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, caregivers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, activity coordinators, and administrative staff.
As a nursing assistant/caregiver, you have scheduled working hours during the day, evening, and weekends (working hours between 7 AM and 9 PM depending on shifts). We are also looking for night staff (working hours from 8:50 PM to 7:05 AM). We prefer that you can work at least 4 consecutive weeks during the period of June to August.

We offer
We offer a fun and meaningful summer job between June - August. The summer job is an opportunity to broaden your knowledge and contribute to your personal professional development.
To ensure that you feel secure and safe in your job, you will undergo a two-day introductory program with both theoretical and practical components. Parts of the introduction include training in handling medication for delegation, various techniques for transferring care recipients, documenting your work efforts, and learning about basic hygiene routines. We will also go through areas such as cognition and nutrition to give you an understanding of the needs and well-being of the elderly.
Your role
As a nursing assistant/caregiver, you have an important task to make people's everyday lives easier, better, and more enjoyable. You provide good care and social support to the elderly in their daily lives. This includes helping with medications, cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and personal care such as showering and toilet visits. You also promote the functional ability of the elderly and contribute to a social and active lifestyle. In addition to practical and social tasks, you have contact with relatives, participate in care planning, and document events in our documentation system, Parasol.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone who meets one of the following requirements:
- high school or vocational education in care and nursing (degree or ongoing)
- ongoing studies in nursing or medical program
- other education or experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
You also have:
- knowledge in care and nursing work
- good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
- computer, mobile, and system proficiency as documentation and reporting are part of the job
- at least 18 years old.
It is an advantage if you have:
- experience working in elderly care
- experience working in care and nursing
We will place great emphasis on the following personal abilities:
- Stable: We need you to be secure, stress-resistant, and have personal maturity.
- Service-oriented: You are service-oriented and attentive to the care recipient's needs.
- Collaboration skills: You have good collaboration skills and are happy to share your own knowledge and experiences while being open to learning from others.
- Empathetic: You have empathy in your interactions with others and a genuine interest in working in the profession.
- Flexibility: You easily adapt to new situations and changing priorities.
About the recruitment process
You apply by attaching your CV and answering questions in the recruitment system. Attach your relevant educational and work certificates when you register your application. We continuously review applications and will get back to you via email and SMS. Also, keep an eye on your spam folder (emails can sometimes end up there) and respond as soon as you can. If you are called for an interview, it will take place digitally via Zoom. Prepare two references, at least one of which should be a salary-setting manager. If you proceed after the interview and reference check, you will be scheduled for a meeting with the organization. An agreement on the work period, introduction, and salary will be made with the responsible manager in the organization. When offered employment, a criminal record extract is required. You can order the extract here (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/kontrollera-dina-uppgifter-i-belastningsregistret/). To be employed as a nursing assistant, a certificate of protected professional title is required. If the certificate is missing, you will be employed as a caregiver. The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
