Job Responsibilities

In Nynäshamn, we work together with people in focus. Together with the team, you create conditions for the residents to have a good quality of life. It is a varied job where one day is not like the other, and we always work for the individual's best. The work consists of usual tasks such as:

• interprofessional work based on the individual's needs
• supervision and leadership of staff
• delegation of health and medical care tasks and follow-up on these
• documentation in database-based journals.

You are responsible for the care of your clients, making assessments and interventions in consultation with the responsible physician. You collaborate with nursing staff as well as unit and group managers. In your role as a nurse, you also have contact with on-call doctors, external care providers, and relatives.

We are looking for nurses who want to make a difference and will work during the summer on a schedule including days, evenings, and weekends, as well as for hourly positions.

About the Workplace

The main task of the Social Administration is to offer individualized support and services in elderly care, disability, children and families, adults, and financial assistance. We are present for the municipality's residents through all stages of life.

Nynäshamn Municipality currently offers care and nursing homes for the elderly, for people with dementia, and for those who need extra support, care, and assistance according to LSS. There are currently four nursing homes, five group homes, and two service apartments with special services for adults according to LSS in the municipality's management.

The health and medical care unit consists of a manager, unit manager, coordinating nurse, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. We work in teams around the client in close collaboration with care staff to provide care and support of very high quality. We have a strong interest in development work at our homes. Together, we create care to be truly proud of.

Our mission is to ensure that each client receives good and safe care, both for chronic and acute medical conditions, as well as for care at the end of life. As the responsible nurse, you will have varied tasks and exciting challenges.

What We Are Looking For in You

To succeed in this role, you have:

• a nursing license
• worked as a nurse for 1-5 years
• good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• a B driver's license and good driving experience.

It is an advantage if you have:

• education in elderly care/disability.

In your work, you are well-organized and plan and prioritize with good judgment. You can make quick and accurate decisions despite limited information or in complex situations and maintain your good judgment and mood even under time pressure.

You are a team player and share knowledge and experiences with your colleagues, while also being able to work well independently. You have the ability to communicate clearly to ensure that messages are conveyed and you follow up on work and results. Furthermore, you are meticulous and quality-conscious and have an interest in working with development work.
