Strategic Buyer at PVI Ekenäs Mekaniska

Do you want to work strategically with purchasing in a company where your expertise truly makes a difference – and where collaboration, trust, and long-term thinking are at the core? PVI Ekenäs Mekaniska is a stable and profitable manufacturing company with a strong position in tube forming and innovative solutions for customers in the automotive and industrial sectors.

With clear growth ambitions, the company is in an exciting development phase, where the purchasing function plays a key role in both profitability and sustainable development. We are now looking for a strategic buyer who wants to take overall responsibility for purchasing and contribute to the company's continued journey. Curious to know more? Read on below!

We Offer

At PVI Ekenäs Mekaniska, you will become part of a company with short decision-making paths, open dialogue, and strong team spirit. There is a genuine commitment to professional development, and you will have good opportunities to influence both your role and how the purchasing work evolves over time. We value balance, sustainable practices, and an inclusive work environment where different perspectives are seen as a strength. We are convinced that diversity contributes to better decisions, stronger teams, and more sustainable business.

About the Role

As a strategic buyer with us, you will have a central and influential role with overall responsibility for the company's purchases, amounting to approximately 100 million SEK per year. The role is long-term and development-oriented, focusing on analysis, negotiation, supplier relationships, and continuous improvement work.

You will work closely with colleagues in sales, production, quality, and management, as well as build and develop long-term professional relationships with suppliers, both nationally and internationally. The work includes monitoring raw material and currency developments, ensuring competitive prices and terms, and contributing to well-founded business decisions. In the long term, there is also the opportunity to join the management team, reflecting the strategic importance of the purchasing function for the company's future. The role suits you who thrive on responsibility but also value collaboration, dialogue, and shared successes.

The role also includes monitoring supplier performance and, in close collaboration with the quality department, conducting supplier audits. PVI Ekenäs Mekaniska is certified according to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001, which places high demands on structure, quality, and regulatory compliance – something you need to feel comfortable with and see as a natural part of the business. You will also be involved in project purchasing related to customer-specific requirements, especially within automotive, where material choices, standards, and cost structures are crucial.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree and experience in strategic purchasing within the manufacturing industry. You are analytical and business-oriented, while also being communicative and relationship-building. You thrive in dialogue with both colleagues and suppliers and have the ability to negotiate in a professional and respectful manner.

You have a technical interest and a desire to understand products, materials, and processes. You do not need to know everything from the start – the most important thing is your curiosity and willingness to learn. As a person, you are structured, solution-oriented, and confident in taking responsibility, while also valuing collaboration and common goals.
