We are now looking for a strategic and operational Buyer who wants to take responsibility for ensuring a sustainable and cost-effective supply of products and services – while contributing to Modig's continued success.
About the Role
As a strategic and operational buyer at Modig, you will be a key person in our work to develop and optimize the supplier base. You will be responsible for driving the strategic development of electrical products, building long-term relationships, and creating business solutions that provide the best possible quality, delivery reliability, and total cost. You will be part of a strong purchasing team in an innovative and international environment. The position can be based in either Värnamo or Kalmar.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and follow up on goals, key performance indicators, and strategies for the electrical category.
- Conduct procurements, negotiate commercial terms, and establish contracts.
- Be responsible for supplier management – including segmentation, evaluation, risk management, and development.
- Ensure the implementation of contracts and coordinate operational purchasing activities.
- Be responsible for preparing and sending purchase orders.
- Establish a strong internal network with engineering, projects, production, and quality.
About You
We are looking for someone with good knowledge of the supplier market for electrical products and an understanding of trends and cost drivers. You have excellent negotiation skills and experience in establishing and interpreting contracts. You are business-minded, long-term oriented, and have a strong interest in developing business and supplier relationships. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to work independently and in a structured manner, have good knowledge of English in both speech and writing, and be accustomed to working with business systems and digital tools.
