Are you a driven and engaged nursing assistant who wants to be involved in creating a meaningful everyday life for our elderly? We are currently looking for a nursing assistant to join us at Granbacken.

Granbacken is a residence for individuals with diagnosed dementia. Our goal is to meet each other with respect, joy, and individually tailored care for each person.

In 2023, Granbacken was awarded the Star Marking. The educational model Star Marked has been developed by the Swedish Dementia Center and aims to provide staff with knowledge and tools to enhance person-centered care at their workplace. Since August 2023, Granbacken has been strengthened with two nursing assistants with specialized competence in dementia.

The Position and Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant at Granbacken, you will convey security and ensure that each individual is seen in all interactions. This involves care and compassion, as well as interest, engagement, and responsiveness to the individual. Our work is based on each individual's needs and wishes, which are reflected in life stories and action plans.

You will be part of a team with a manager, team leader, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, and you will work according to the Social Services Act. The work also includes tasks based on the Health and Medical Services Act, following delegation from a nurse.

At Granbacken, you will be an important part of the team where, as a nursing assistant at night, you support and help our residents in a secure manner. Each shift, you will work in a team with another colleague, and a nurse will be available for advice and support.

Your tasks may include assistance with getting to bed, toilet visits, position changes, medication administration, and other individual needs that may arise.

The position is a temporary contract, with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications and Competence

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with a certificate of protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. You have experience working with individuals with dementia, and it is an advantage if you have knowledge of BPSD.

In elderly care, we use digital signing of medications, which means you need to have good computer skills and be accustomed to working with mobile apps. We are looking for someone who promotes a good working environment and finds solutions in everyday situations. As a person, you are service-oriented, responsible, and have the ability to adapt when the situation requires it. We see that you are solution-focused and have the user's needs at the center. You have a positive attitude and see communication and collaboration as an important and natural part of a functioning work team, but you should also have the ability to work independently. Your work includes communication and documentation, so it is important that you master Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as have basic knowledge of IT tools for social documentation.

Working hours are scheduled between 21:15 and 07:15 on both weekdays and weekends.

The municipality applies a smoke-free working time policy.
