Specialist Nurse in Surgical Care

Do you want to be a key person in an engaged day surgery team where development, collaboration, and patient focus are at the center? We are now looking for a specialist nurse in surgical care who wants to contribute with their expertise while having the opportunity for continuous development in our well-functioning operation in Köping. Here, you will work during the day in a safe work environment where your professional role is valued.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of surgical nurse within our operation, you are part of a multidisciplinary team and a key person who develops and drives the operation together with your colleagues. Standard job responsibilities for surgical nurses in the operating room.

Development Opportunities

We offer you a tailored introduction program as a surgical nurse in Köping. We value internal and external training and continuous professional development. The clinic works with a competence model for specialist nurses in clinical practice.

Working Hours

Daytime, we operate 4 operating rooms Monday – Thursday and 3 rooms on Fridays with closure every third Friday. We are closed for 4 weeks in the summer and have reduced operations over Christmas and New Year.

About the Workplace

The Surgical Clinic is responsible for surgical care in Region Västmanland and is located in Västerås and Köping. In Köping, elective day surgery is conducted for the specialties of orthopedics, surgery, urology, ENT, and gynecology. The operation consists of 1 day surgery unit for preoperative reception and recovery, 4 operating rooms, 1 sterile center, and 1 planning unit that plans the surgical program and calls patients.

We are a total of 40 employees who work closely with the patient at the center.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a specialist nurse in surgical care with a few years of experience. If you have previous experience working in a similar operation, it is an advantage.

As you need to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required. If you have worked in the Cosmic/Orbit journal system, we see it as an advantage. We also see that you are flexible, structured, have a good ability to prioritize in daily work as well as being able to quickly reprioritize and adapt to changing circumstances. Your creativity, thoughts, and ideas are important pieces for us in the continued development work, even towards NAV. Therefore, we see you as a person who enjoys contributing with your knowledge, ideas, and enthusiasm. Being motivated by change and improvement work is a given in these changing times that characterize the healthcare and social care sector.

Employment Conditions

Permanent employment, daytime 40h/week.

Start date by agreement.
