Job Responsibilities

As a caregiver with us in department 91, you are welcomed to a stimulating workplace, which falls under the section of regional shared resources, and we have a close collaboration with the addiction reception. We are part of the highly specialized care belonging to adult psychiatry in Västmanland. You will perform standard caregiver tasks and be part of a team with other caregivers, nurses, doctors, psychologists, social workers, and a coordinator.

With us, you will work with a combination of addiction, psychiatric, and somatic care, and we place great importance on meaningful meetings and motivational conversations.

About the Workplace

We are a general psychiatric acute department with an addiction focus and primarily work with detoxification treatment for patients with comorbidity, psychiatry, and addiction. A prerequisite for high-quality and patient-safe detoxification treatment is close collaboration with the Addiction Center Västmanland and other outpatient clinics in the region. Department 91 is a regional shared service for the most challenging patients regarding active substance abuse/addiction and/or other mental or somatic illnesses.

We now need to strengthen our staff group and are in an expansive phase and change due to the fact that we have expanded to 12 care places and more general psychiatric diagnoses. You will be welcomed into a new and unpretentious workgroup where we value each other's professional knowledge and experience. We now need to reinforce our team with new colleagues who, together with us, want to develop a new service.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained caregiver or nursing assistant with a focus on psychiatry. You who apply have current experience of working in psychiatric inpatient care. If you also have experience in addiction care and/or the MI conversation methodology, we see that as very positive. You need to be able to communicate and express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as you will have a lot of collaboration, patient contact, and documentation in your work. If you also have experience with the Cosmic journal system, that is something we value.

To fit in with us, we see that you have an interest in working with people and for psychiatry. You are a secure, stable, and communicative person who thrives in a job where no day is the same. You work well with others and enjoy a job where collaboration is done in a responsive and smooth manner. In your interactions, you are calm, empathetic, and clear, and can make quick decisions and prioritize, even in situations that sometimes challenge you.
