About the position

Perido is looking for a Buyer on behalf of our client – a well-known international company in the automotive industry. You will join the Raw Material & Steel Parts team, a part of the Platform organization with responsibility for all procurement-related activities within its scope. The position is located in Gothenburg.

Your daily tasks

The role covers both strategic and operational purchasing, with a clear focus on cold and hot stamped parts.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and support cross-functional sourcing projects and market tests
  • Prepare, execute, and analyze negotiations and supplier selections
  • Perform market analysis, prioritization, and define optimal negotiation tactics
  • Manage sustainability aspects and contract management
  • Handle purchasing activities related to current production
  • Proactively challenge existing approaches and contribute to common, improved solutions together with stakeholders and suppliers

You enjoy collaborating in teams while also being comfortable independently driving and completing tasks, and you communicate clearly, building strong and trustful relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within purchasing or procurement
  • Strong negotiation skills and solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in parallel
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Meritorious:

  • Previous experience as a Buyer within a large, complex organization
  • Experience within the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Experience working with raw materials and/or steel components

Contract type and hours

Full-time, consulting assignment until 2026-12-18. Start 2026-03-02.
