The pediatric and adolescent care at Helsingborg Hospital consists of the Pediatric and Adolescent Medical Emergency Department, Inpatient Ward for Children and Young People, Neonatal Ward, Day Care Unit, and scheduled Pediatric and Adolescent Medical Clinics in Helsingborg, Ängelholm, and Landskrona. We are a total of about 300 employees in various professional categories.

The Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Clinic in Helsingborg is an outpatient clinic for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age. We welcome patients within many different care processes such as diabetes, asthma, allergies, neurology, and obesity. Most of our patients have chronic diseases, but visits can also involve patients coming for assessment from other healthcare providers. We have doctors, pediatric nurses, nursing assistants, dietitians, social workers, psychologists, and administrative staff working with us. We are open during the day, Monday to Friday.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome you who want to work with children and young people at the Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Clinic in Helsingborg!

As a pediatric nurse at the clinic in Helsingborg, you will work in a cross-professional manner and with your own scheduled patient appointments. You plan your own appointments, which means you need to take great responsibility for your work and have a flexible approach. We work family-centered with the child in focus. Telephone advice and handling of patient cases via 1177 are also part of the workday. We are working to promote digital patient visits. The clinic also has testing for our patients.

At our workplace, we work goal-oriented through various improvement efforts to develop our operations with the patient in focus.

As a new employee with us, you will receive an introduction tailored to your specific skills and previous experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and have further education in pediatric and adolescent nursing. Additionally, you have language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale. You also have experience working in pediatric and adolescent healthcare. We consider it an advantage if you have experience in outpatient work within pediatrics and knowledge of Melior and Pasis. If you have an interest or experience in diabetes and/or asthma allergies, that is a plus.

To thrive in the role, it is important that you are comfortable working both independently and in cross-professional teams. You should be responsible and stress-resistant. Furthermore, you have a flexible approach, good communication skills, and a good attitude towards both patients and colleagues. We place great importance on personal suitability.
