About Us

The Surgical Clinic at Blekingesjukhuset conducts extensive operations in surgery, urology, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, and oncology.

We have two inpatient departments in Karlskrona and four outpatient clinics, one of which is in Karlshamn. In the near future, our new endoscopy unit will also be completed. In Karlshamn, we have planned surgical activities, and in Karlskrona, we perform urgent and planned resource-intensive surgeries and more severe injuries. We also have radiology services in Karlskrona. Together, we are over 200 employees.

About the Job

Region Blekinge invests in training positions with academic specialist training for nurses, aiming to further enhance competence in prioritized areas for better patient care.

You will be employed in a permanent full-time position as a nurse. The training position lasts for two years at half-time, and you will receive a monthly salary as a nurse during your studies. You are entitled to contractual vacation and salary in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

After completing your education, you will be placed as a specialist nurse in surgical care at one of the Surgical Clinic's two wards in Karlskrona.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse who applies and is accepted into the specialist nursing program with a focus on surgical care starting in the autumn semester of 2026. Please note that most universities have a deadline for applications on 2026-03-15.

You have a drive to work on development and improvements. As a person, you have the ability to see the big picture, want to work cross-professionally, and have good collaboration skills. You will undertake your specialist training closely linked to the operations you will work in. It is an advantage if you have several years of clinical experience as a nurse in surgical care.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Additional Information

Region Blekinge places all permanently employed staff in a crisis position.

Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

Applicants who are considered for employment must present an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.
