Region Halland is facing many years of significant strategic investments in and development of the three hospital areas in Halland.

The role of project manager for administration is a new position at Regionfastigheter and involves ensuring that the project achieves set effect goals, that the time and financial plan is maintained, and that the right resources are available at the right time. In the long run, this role will be one of three project managers who play a central role in driving our development projects from the initial idea to the commissioning of the feasibility study and finally handing over to the responsible administrator. Initially, the role will be filled for Hallands sjukhus Halmstad, then for Hallands sjukhus Varberg, and finally established at Hallands sjukhus Kungsbacka.

The position as project manager for administration means that you will take care of and shape the organization’s space needs in the initial phases of the project process. In short, this means that the organization’s needs (idea) are transformed into a space program that will eventually crystallize into a room program and other documents that form the basis for a feasibility study. In the implementation phase, the project manager for administration has a participatory and supportive role to ensure the project's progress and deliveries. In the final stage of the process, the project manager for administration approves project closure and is responsible for handing over to the organization or client. Throughout the project process, the project manager for administration is responsible for the project’s budget and ensuring that the finances are regularly and systematically monitored, and if necessary, raise decisions about deviations to the steering group. As an important part of our quality work, follow-up and feedback on experiences should be made in completed and handed-over projects.

You lead the project teams in an engaged, goal-oriented, and communicative manner and create conditions for the project to develop sustainably and long-term. The projects in the local supply plan are in the planning phase and are expected to start construction in 2027.

The role does not include personnel responsibility, but you ensure that internal and external resources are used correctly and on time.

You represent the projects in internal and, if necessary, external steering groups. You report to the head of the administration department and are responsible for preparing materials and, if necessary, presenting matters for committees and steering groups. It is important that the project is conducted both in a structured manner and in a collaborative spirit, in close dialogue with the project manager, the project team, and other functions and operations within Region Halland.

The location for the position is Halmstad, but travel within Region Halland will occur, which is why a B driver's license is a requirement for the position.

About the Workplace

Regionfastigheter is a department within the finance department of the Regional Office. We are primarily responsible for construction, management, and rental issues. This means that we actively support the region's activities with suitable premises, a good environment, and adapted infrastructure. Our operations can also be expressed in properties and square meters: health centers, hospitals, schools, dental and psychiatric clinics. A total of 440,000 square meters with many and various construction projects and approximately 90 leased contracts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant university or college education, such as a civil engineer or engineering degree, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience from large and complex urban development, construction, or infrastructure projects in the implementation phase or multi-year programs, and it is an advantage if you have also worked in complex organizational structures and technology-intensive projects.

Furthermore, you have:

At least ten years of experience in the construction sector.
Experience working as a project manager or leader in advanced project environments.
Experience with budget responsibility and operational responsibility.
Good knowledge of contract law and LOU.
Experience with various procurement, business, and implementation forms within the construction sector.
Experience with established project methodologies or project tools.
Experience compiling information and presenting it in various management forums.
Experience reporting to boards or political organizations.
