JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a technician who will be responsible for the practical implementation and maintenance of BDT filters (Bath, Dish, Laundry) as well as the care of the city's outdoor environments. The position suits you who enjoy having great freedom in organizing your workday and feel confident in independently finding solutions to technical challenges. Your contribution ensures well-functioning facilities within Landskrona city.

Landskrona city is currently undertaking a comprehensive investment in sustainable water management in our allotment areas in accordance with the municipal council's action plan, which will be part of your job responsibilities.

Main job tasks

As a technician with us, you will be the city's face towards our allotment holders and visitors in the outdoor areas. Your tasks are based on the city's commitments as the main water authority:

• Installation and planning: You are responsible for determining the placement of and installing BDT filters within Landskrona city's allotments.
• Technical inspection: You check and approve the allotment holders' own connections between the BDT filter and their stone boxes.
• Operation and maintenance: You perform regular cleaning and, if necessary, replacement of filters in the facilities to ensure optimal function.
• Communication: You are responsible for communicating requirements and conditions for using the filters to users, both in writing and verbally, for example, that they are only designed for hand washing and hand dishwashing.
• Supervision and safety: In addition to the BDT work, you manage the operation of open showers in outdoor areas and perform regular checks of rescue equipment along the city's coasts and waterways.
• Minor repairs in the city's marinas, outdoor showers, and drinking fountains.
• Inspection of lifesaving equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• Plumbing competence: Documented knowledge of plumbing and water installations.
• Meritorious: Education with a focus on water and sewage.
• Technical understanding: Experience with BDT technology, infiltration, and soil beds.
• Experience working with contact centers or similar customer service systems for case management.
• Driving license B
• Very good knowledge of Swedish - written and spoken
• Basic computer skills
• Approved high school education

• Independence: You independently plan your visits and inspections.
• Ability to learn new things to solve new problems.
• Solution-focused - you find practical solutions to technical/mechanical problems.
