JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently seeking a custodian for Local Services, which is part of the Service Administration. The work will primarily be performed at the municipality's schools, preschools, and special housing, and you will have an important role in ensuring that daily operations run smoothly. The tasks are varied and include minor repairs and installations, assembly of loose furnishings for the operations, etc. It may also involve moving furniture and computers, handling goods distribution, and delivering food to various municipal operations. Management of access control systems may also occur, as well as waste management, litter rounds, and collection and delivery of clean and dirty laundry within our special housing.

The Property Unit also handles the municipality's internal fault reporting, and many of the cases are managed by operational custodians. The position may also involve weekend work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that you have previous experience as a custodian or in a similar role. A B driver's license is required. Additionally, the custodian position requires general knowledge of repairs and maintenance, proactivity, and a solution-focused mindset. You will have daily contact with children, staff, and internal and external suppliers, so it is important that you collaborate well with others. We are looking for someone who has the willingness and ability to help others and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. If you are offered the position, you must provide a valid extract from the Police's criminal record. Good computer skills are required as fault reporting systems and, for example, lock management systems may be handled within the role.

Experience is required.
