We are now looking for a dedicated and competent diagnostic technician for our workshop in Malmö. In this role, you will be the technical expert of the workshop and a natural support for both system and service technicians. Your development is seen as a shared success.

Automera is an authorized service and collision repair workshop for Mercedes-Benz, located in Malmö. We offer comprehensive solutions in service, bodywork, and painting. Job Responsibilities

As a diagnostic technician, you will be responsible for the most advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of motor vehicles. You will work with complex and often hard-to-identify faults within mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, where deep system understanding and a methodical approach are crucial.

You will work independently with high technical competence and a focus on quality, while also serving as technical support for system and service technicians and collaborating closely with the team to ensure the best possible customer experience.

The role involves:

• Performing advanced diagnostics and root cause analysis on vehicles where standard troubleshooting is insufficient
• Working with multiple interconnected systems, such as powertrain, chassis, safety, comfort, communication, and networking
• Being technical support and a sounding board for system technicians and service technicians
• Participating in technically demanding warranty and complaint cases
• Contributing to knowledge sharing and technical development in the workshop
• Diagnosing and addressing faults in various areas
• Working with modern diagnostic tools and software
• Ensuring that the vehicle's function is restored according to the manufacturer's requirements
• Documenting actions in the system
• Quality controls and collaboration with colleagues for an efficient workflow.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has solid automotive technical education
• Has several years of experience as a technician, including experience at the system or diagnostic technician level
• Has a very good understanding of Mercedes-Benz vehicles and system architecture
• Is experienced in advanced troubleshooting and working with Mercedes-Benz diagnostic tools (meritorious)
• Has deep knowledge of electrical, electronic, and network-based systems
• Has experience with hybrid and electric vehicles (meritorious)
• Works analytically, structured, and methodically
• Is confident in making technical decisions and taking responsibility for complex cases
• Is fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Has a B driver's license (manual transmission)
