About Unika Varv

Our LSS residence is located in the countryside in a calm and safe environment with an accompanying garden. The residence is small-scale and homely, focusing on community, participation, and individual needs. The nature-close environment and garden are part of everyday life, and the work also includes gardening.

About the role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to people with disabilities, aiming to promote their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support the users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, and always have their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, where we build on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal responses to create security and predictability in the users' everyday lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the resources and budget of the organization.

Qualifications
  • High school education, child and youth program, health and care program, or post-secondary education, nursing assistant, support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.

  • Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

  • Good computer skills, experience with documentation.

  • Experience working in health and care.

  • Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Meritorious if you also have
  • Experience in psychiatry, psychosis response.

  • Training in AAC and low-arousal responses.

  • Experience working with complex support needs.

  • Experience with comorbidity.

  • Experience with KAD.

Employment Conditions

Employment Type: fixed-term. Working Hours: 50-100% Working Time: 6-24.00, sleeping on-call and awake night shifts. Start Date: By agreement, we look positively on if you can start shortly to begin an introduction. Collective Agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
