Job Responsibilities

Malmö is developing rapidly, and many want to live, work, and visit our city. At Stadsfastigheter, we manage and develop Malmö City's preschools, schools, support and elderly care homes, as well as cultural and recreational facilities. We are currently in an intensive development phase aimed at creating a cohesive Malmö.

The Projects Unit renovates and builds new facilities on behalf of our local user administrations. The Projects Unit is tasked with driving construction projects, and we are involved from the idea stage all the way to handing over the completed building to the local user and property manager. We are now looking for a new project manager to join us.

As a project manager, you will drive new construction, renovations, and extensions within the property portfolio throughout the construction process: from idea through design, procurement, and production to final inspection and handover. You will mostly manage projects that can be executed through calls to our framework agreement partners. In the role of project manager, you are also expected to participate in business development.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree of at least 180 credits in construction or property management. You also have at least 2 years of documented experience in the construction or property industry. Experience with projects focused on sustainable development (ecology, economy, social) and experience in procurement of contracts according to the Public Procurement Act are advantageous. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement for the position.

You like to collaborate, support, and serve both internal and external counterparts and clients. To succeed and thrive in the role of project manager, you need to be good at planning and organizing, cost-conscious, flexible, attentive, and humble. You are a person who ensures results and meets customer expectations based on set goals and frameworks. You are interested in properties and technical development and take overall responsibility.

About the Workplace

The 190 employees at Stadsfastigheter manage Malmö City's properties for schools, childcare, elderly care, and culture. The portfolio amounts to over 1.8 million square meters and generates an annual turnover of approximately 2 billion kronor. Our most important task is to meet the needs of our local users for well-functioning premises.

The Service Administration is divided into five departments and offers everything from transport services to IT and responding to citizens in Malmö City's contact center. We maintain streets, parks, green areas, and beaches, manage all of Malmö City's buildings, and ensure that our school students receive good and nutritious food. Together, we are a smart service partner to the city.
