Are you ready for a bigger challenge? The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with approximately 40,000 employees across the country. With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission to increase safety and reduce crime in society.
Police Region Mitt is located in the middle of the country with its main office in Uppsala. The operations in the region are organized into three police areas: Uppsala, Västmanland, and Gävleborg, which are further divided into eight local police areas. Additionally, there are three regional units: the operational unit, the intelligence unit, and the investigation unit, a regional administration office, and national departments represented in the region to support police operations.
Police Area Gävleborg is one of the police areas in Region Mitt. The area borders Dalälven and Uppland to the south and Härjedalen and Medelpad to the north. The geographical area includes 10 municipalities. Police Area Gävleborg is divided into two local police areas: Hälsingland and Gästrikland. At the police area level, there is an investigation section and a local administration office.
The Local Police Area Hälsingland includes the municipalities of Bollnäs, Söderhamn, Ovanåker, Ljusdal, Hudiksvall, and Nordanstig. Police stations are located in four of the municipalities: Bollnäs, Söderhamn, Ljusdal, and Hudiksvall.
