About the role:
In the role of inspection engineer, you are responsible for conducting inspections of lifting devices. You contribute to increased safety for our customers when you are out in the field inspecting on your own. As an inspection engineer, you leverage your strong technical interest combined with your social engagement that comes with customer contact. To thrive in the role, we believe you view challenges as an opportunity to develop and learn more. During your first time at Kiwa, you will continuously receive training to build on your knowledge.
We have customers in most industries, ranging from heavy industry to hospitals, shopping centers, and the aviation industry. This gives you the opportunity to inspect various types of lifting devices:
· Cranes and hoists
· Elevators and escalators
· Excavators, wheel loaders, and construction machinery
· Wind turbines
· Ski lifts
Your base location is Gävle. The position involves daily travel, and overnight trips may also occur.
Do you have what it takes?
To thrive in the role, we see that you have a technical interest, preferably with experience or education in a relevant field. We believe you enjoy a social job where you meet customers daily and work independently. To succeed as an inspection engineer, you are attentive, curious, driven, and meticulous. We believe that with interest and basic knowledge, one can go far, which is why we place great importance on your personality. During your first time with us, you will undergo training at another location to gain the knowledge you need to perform your tasks in the best way.
We see that you have:
- Technical high school education or equivalent, e.g., vocational training
- Ability to take on new challenges and work solution-oriented.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Driver's license B
It is an advantage if you have experience in the inspection industry or have worked with cranes, construction machinery, mobile work platforms, elevators, or equivalent.
