Do you want to be part of our EHS team and contribute to activities on our path to zero accidents, where you as a person are responsible and have a strong drive? We are looking for an EHS Professional for the Strip Division who wants to help improve safety in the unit and is passionate about creating a safer and more sustainable workplace for everyone.
If you want to work in a role where you can combine strategic thinking with operational responsibility and contribute to a safer and more sustainable operation, then you are the one we are looking for!
Your Role
As an EHS Professional, you will be a central part of driving and developing the company's EHS work. You will work globally and locally with strategic projects, but you will also be active in the operational safety work. An important part of the role is to strengthen and further develop the safety culture in the organization – you engage, inspire, and contribute to making safety a natural part of everyday life. Your ability to conduct risk assessments in production and support processes and investigations is of great importance.
Common tasks include:
· Develop and anchor strategic goals and action plans within EHS and follow up on compliance.
· Develop and support the Strip Division's systematic work environment efforts with a focus on PU Sandviken.
· Analyze the unit's processes, incidents, and outcomes to plan the direction of upcoming activities for the division.
· Independently drive safety projects.
· Support and conduct risk assessments and investigations in the operation.
· Coordinate and lead internal and external audits within EHS for Division/PU Strip, and identify and follow up on areas for improvement.
· Identify relevant legal and standard requirements and ensure compliance.
· Ensure that EHS instructions and procedures exist, are updated, and are followed.
· Drive and implement the safety projects and activities prioritized for the coming years.
· Conduct training in the safety area.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a university or college degree, for example as a work environment engineer, or equivalent competence acquired through relevant work experience. You have in-depth knowledge of risk management and incident management and a very good communication ability where you master Swedish and English fluently, both orally and in writing. You are used to driving projects independently and have a natural drive to move issues forward in a constructive and goal-oriented manner. You also have the ability to write and manage procedures in the safety area in a clear and systematic way.
Great importance will also be placed on your personal qualities. As a person, you are structured and have a good understanding of how laws and requirements should be interpreted and implemented in an organization. You drive projects independently and lead groups forward by being structured, clear, and engaging. To succeed in the role, we see that you have experience in leading or supporting behavioral and cultural changes related to work environment and safety. It is important that you have the ability to communicate effectively with people, create understanding of why changes and safety measures are necessary, and inspire engagement to drive these issues forward. And we see it as a given that you have good knowledge, but above all a genuine interest in environment, health, and safety.
