We are also at the forefront of future solutions for energy production.
We are now looking for an EHS & Sustainability Manager who will drive our safety, work environment, and environmental efforts while developing our long-term sustainability agenda. You will play a key role in translating strategy into results in everyday operations.

As the Head of EHS & Sustainability, you are responsible for leading, coordinating, and further developing our EHS and sustainability work according to legal requirements, internal standards, and business goals. You report to the PU Manager Nuclear and have two direct reports in your team. The role is part of the management team of the production unit, where you are expected to actively contribute to the overall results for PU Nuclear. Furthermore, the role involves close collaboration with the entire PU as well as central EHS/Sustainability functions at Alleima.
Your mission:

- Build a “Zero Harm” culture focused on preventive work and everyone's engagement.
- Lead EHS forums and ensure effective collaboration between managers, employees, and safety representatives.
- Work Environment & Safety (H&S)
- Own systematic work environment management (SAM) including risk assessments, safety rounds, training, incident/accident investigations, and action plans.
- Support the process of separating people from machines and developing risk-reducing technology/standards in a process-intensive environment.
- Environment (E)
- Ensure compliance with permits and requirements (e.g., Environmental Code) and drive continuous improvements for energy, waste, chemicals, water, and emissions.
- Own and develop environmental management according to ISO 14001; coordinate internal/external audits and management reviews.
- Sustainability & Reporting
- Drive local initiatives that support the division's sustainability goals (e.g., CO₂, resource and water usage, circularity).
- Ensure data quality and reporting capability for external and internal requirements (e.g., CSRD/SBTi) and support transition/work in Microsoft Sustainability Manager.
- Governance & Compliance
- Maintain robust processes within ISO 45001 and relevant AFS regulations.
- Ownership of EHS plan, goals, KPIs (e.g., TRIFR, observations, training), and action plans.
- Stay updated on laws and regulations in the field and translate them into practice.
- Projects & Change
- Lead improvement projects and investment support with EHS/sustainability requirements in focus – from feasibility study to commissioning.
- Drive competence development (training plans, e-learning, campaigns) and digitization of EHS and sustainability processes.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with an academic degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental/chemical engineering, occupational health, production, or industrial economics). To be successful in this role, we see that you are an experienced leader with a proven ability to drive EHS and/or sustainability work in manufacturing/process industry. Furthermore, you need to have a good understanding of occupational health and environmental legislation, ISO 14001/45001, risk methodology, and investigation techniques (RCA, 5 Why, etc.). Experience with CSRD/ESG reporting, energy mapping, chemical management, and digital EHS/EMIS systems will be considered an advantage.
Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities such as being communicative and collaborative, where you are confident in management forums and close to operations, with the ability to simplify complex requirements into practical implementation. You recognize the importance of, and deliver, first-class service and combine a good ability to listen with being clear about expectations.
For the position, it is required that you speak Swedish and English fluently in both spoken and written form.
We offer:
