We care for patients with a wide range of diseases in the body's internal organs and now offer a unique opportunity for you as a nurse! Internal Medicine in Gävle encompasses the areas of Medical Acute Care Unit (MAVA), Stroke Unit, Lung Unit, Kidney/Hematology Unit, and Endocrine/Gastro Clinic.

We are now making a major investment and are looking for nurses who want to start their permanent employment with us by completing Internal Medicine Training (IMT). This is a fantastic opportunity to gain extensive experience while developing within internal medicine. IMT is a new and innovative concept where you will serve in four of our care departments. Here you will receive a strengthened focus on clinical education, continuous supervision, and a safe working environment to help you grow in your professional role. RESPONSIBILITIES

As an IMT nurse, you will serve in MAVA, the Lung Unit, the Kidney/Hematology Unit, and the Stroke Unit with the goal of gaining broad competence and an enriched network. You will spend six months in each department together with another IMT nurse. The clinical service will be approximately 85 percent together with other professional staff in the care department, and the remaining time will be interspersed with education and development in various forms. After completing your service, you will have the opportunity to choose which internal medicine department you want to continue your employment in or if you want to continue varying your service with us.

As an IMT nurse, you will, among other things:

• round with doctors and other healthcare staff
• administer and distribute medications as well as perform specific nursing tasks for each care department
• participate in group supervision with other IMT nurses, with different themes at each occasion
• deepen your competence in each care department through competence-specific training packages.

QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive in the role, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and are open to learning and developing together with your colleagues. You are attentive, communicative, and have a strong ability to both listen and express yourself clearly. Since the position involves work in several different departments, you need to be flexible and quickly adapt to new situations and work environments.

You have a genuine interest in internal medicine and strive to continuously develop in the field. You set clear goals for your own development and work purposefully to achieve them. Furthermore, we see that you can balance your own responsibilities while considering the overall goals and needs of the organization in both actions and decisions.

In the role of IMT nurse, you should be:

• a licensed nurse.

For this position, it is an advantage if you have experience in emergency care.
