About us
The Elderly Investigation Unit consists of about 40 employees and has its office centrally located in Umeå. We meet people aged 65 and older who need support and assistance due to the consequences of aging. We process applications, investigate, and make decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and follow up on interventions to ensure that needs are met.
Your tasks
As a social worker, you will work with:
- Receiving applications and reports
- Investigating and making decisions according to SoL, supported by the IBIC model (Individual Needs in Center)
- Documenting and following up on interventions
- Collaborating with colleagues, relatives, and other actors
You meet people in different life situations and provide support and guidance. The role requires independence, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize, but also offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of future elderly care.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in social work
- Several years of experience in public authority work where you have conducted investigations and made decisions based on the Social Services Act (SoL)
- Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
- A valid driver's license (B)
Additionally, it is an advantage if you have experience in public authority work according to SoL with a focus on elderly care, as well as knowledge of Sami or Finnish.
As a person, you are secure, stable, and flexible. You have a good ability to prioritize and collaborate with internal and external parties. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
