Perhaps you do carpentry at home, build decks, fences, or similar in your spare time – or have worked practically in construction, assembly, or similar. You do not need to be a trained carpenter, but you should enjoy building and making things happen.

NYAB is now looking for a practical worker with a carpentry focus for the high season of 2026. The role suits you who enjoy varied workdays, like being out on different projects, and want to contribute practical building knowledge where it is needed.

About the position

NYAB is a growing company in civil engineering with long experience and many ongoing projects throughout Sweden. We are now looking for someone who wants to support the projects with simple construction and carpentry work and ensure that the workplaces function in everyday life.

In this role, you will work on projects and assist with everything from building sheds and fences to simpler constructions and temporary solutions. You will be an important resource for the teams on-site and work closely with colleagues in an unpretentious and family-like work environment.

You will receive an introduction and support from experienced colleagues, but you will also have the freedom to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks. The position is full-time during the period of May to November 2026. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant for NYAB. Job responsibilities

As a skilled worker with a carpentry focus, you will have a varied and practical everyday life. Examples of job responsibilities include:

• Building and assembling sheds, storage, and simpler constructions
• Erecting fences, barriers, and protection around workplaces
• Simpler carpentry and construction work on projects
• Adjustment and repair of temporary solutions
• Assembly, disassembly, and organization of materials
• Practical support to project and construction teams as needed (e.g., retrieving tools or similar)

The job responsibilities vary from day to day and require that you are flexible and enjoy helping where needed.

The work is scheduled during daytime, Monday to Friday. A company car is available if needed.

We are looking for you who

We are looking for someone who is practical and enjoys building. You:

• Are handy and experienced in using hand tools and simpler machines
• Have experience in carpentry, assembly, or construction – privately or professionally
• Enjoy working practically and seeing clear results from your work
• Have a B driver's license
• Master Swedish in speech and writing

As a person, you are responsible, solution-oriented, and unpretentious. You see what needs to be done and are happy to take the initiative. Previous experience in construction or carpentry is an advantage, but no formal education is required – the right attitude and interest are the most important.
